Format support & compatibility
| glTF JSON | Scene, nodes, materials and animation declarations are retained |
|---|---|
| BIN buffers | Combined with aligned buffer offsets |
| PNG, JPEG, WebP & KTX2 images | Embedded without image recompression |
| Resource packaging | Changes; this is not mesh reduction |

Troubleshooting
Missing model.bin
The JSON alone is not a complete model. Include the named buffer from the same export.
Missing a texture folder
Use the complete export folder in a ZIP. Remote images need to be downloaded by you and referenced locally.
The file is not much smaller
GLB changes delivery packaging. For actual geometry or texture optimization, use the GLB compressor after packing.
Questions
What is the difference between glTF and GLB?
glTF commonly uses a JSON file with separate buffers and images. GLB puts the JSON and binary resources in one binary file. This tool changes packaging rather than remodeling the asset.
Does glTF to GLB with textures also preserve animation?
The packer retains original animation, skin, morph and extension declarations and copies their buffers. It does not load and rebuild the scene to perform conversion. The receiving viewer still needs support for the asset’s extensions.
How do I convert glTF + BIN to GLB?
Only when its buffers and images are embedded as data URIs. Otherwise include every referenced BIN and image file. Missing resources stop conversion with their path shown.
